Being Italian

Today we went to an Italian cooking class... Yes, we now can make our own pastas. An vodka, bolognese, pescatore... Ridiculousness!

February 14

According to Ben, not Valentine's day. Just feb 14. Or Alex's birthday! Well, we went to italian place we always walk by, but ben's never been. Then Ben surprised me to kyotofu. Pictures speak for themselves. Next year, no v day... Too expensive and way too cheesy.

Ajuerdic cooking lesson

We all have the 5 elements. Some have more fire, others more water.
We learned how to make almond milk and cheese. We signed up for more classes and will be looking forward to learning more. One thing you can do right away is... The morning you wake up: clean, peel, cut apple into big cubes. Put in a pan w 1/4 cup of water and 2 cloves. Bring to boil and the let it simmer in low heat until apple is soft. About 4-5 mins later, eat it. We've been doing this for 1 week and we poop in morning and feel light and alert. Amazing!

Few traditions in NYC

1. Katz
Amazing pastrami after my fab haircut, goodbye grey hair!
2. Rice and Beans
Brazilian amazingness... Only remembered to take a shot for the dessert
3. Dodomi
Japanese tapas place, everytime we've been here, it's been amazing. The night of the 'nemo' storm we ventured to another restaurant for a deal, but they were closed! Soo... Instead we were super excited to get some wings and okonomiayaki... Delish

Latin, Italian gelato, and Chinese Korean - undercover!

Our day started by having some tacos inside a store that looks like a bodega, but it turns out to be a pretty authentic Mexican restaurant with a random movie playing on the screen.
We then stopped by Little Brazil for caipirinha and brigadeiro... All things that most people should not have in the middle of the day, but when in little brazil, do as the Brazilians do... Enjoy.
Next, the main event was our undercover look of the world of espionage at the discovery museum. Über expensive, but good thing Ben had a deal, so it wasn't too much for us. Two hours later, we stopped by a empanadas place in Times Square... Yuck! Soggy empanadas. Good thing we only got 2.
Then for surprise event numero dos! We went to Mia where we enjoyed delicious gelato and waited for our gelato class! Yep, cookies n cream, pumpkin, double chocolate, and chocolate mint...
The night ended with a Korean-Chinese meal... Yes, we did come out to Flushing just for it!
And this concludes our very eventful Sunday... Until the next one!
